As long-time, active members of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, Logic Lumber has been serving the construction industry in Alberta for more than 40 years. We have a full-service lumberyard and insulation service in Lethbridge. Our Coaldale, Alberta location also provides specialized cutting services to the mobile home industry.

Our History
Logic Lumber has been serving the building industry since we were incorporated in 1984. Initially the staff – housed in a small, rented building – consisted of Tom Dixon (President), Linda Dixon (Secretary-Treasurer), and four other employees. By concentrating on lumber, plywood, drywall, insulation, trusses, and metal products, we were able to focus on the needs of our client base, but soon the business outgrew the facility.
In 1986, a building was purchased and crane trucks were acquired to accommodate the growing demands of our large commercial and contractor clients. Agricultural buildings, barns, and storage sheds were also added to our list.
In 1988, Logic Insulation Ltd. was formed to provide blown-in insulation services, and a year later an office was opened in Red Deer, Alberta. Ten years later, a new store was built in Red Deer and the operation there was expanded to include a fully-stocked lumberyard, complete with a full line of building products.
In 2005, the Lethbridge store again saw the need for expansion, and the new building was constructed with an increased yard to house a larger inventory including: windows, doors, flooring, drywall tools, hardware, steel buildings, and custom-ordered building products.
Today, Logic Lumber is made up of 30-40 employees in Lethbridge. In 2012, Logic Lumber absorbed Logic Insulation and closed its Red Deer location. Logic Lumber continues to serve Red Deer and other areas from its Lethbridge location.
